I have a 1992 explorer I bought with a bad tranny. I picked one up I thought would work out of a 1991 explorer. I have everyrhing plugged in, changed the filter and the fluid is full. My problem is this. ... I can put it in reverse and it shifts and moves in reverse. But if I put it in drive or OD the tranny acts like it is low on fluid. I can feel it wanting to move but nothing happens. I can put it in 2nd and it will engage and take off. If I get it up to 15ish mph I can change it to drive or OD and it will function just fine. I can come to a stop and it will start in first and function properly. But if you put in back in park, you have to start again in 2nd in order to move. Is there anything I can do to get this working right? Or is this tranny seen it's last days? Thanks for any info and help.
