GT40P heads on a 1994 F150 5.0
I recently picked up some GT40p heads off of craigslist. I have 1994 F150 4x4 with a 302 HO and M5OD. It has 202K miles on it and is a solid runner - been taken care of very well.
I have asked and had this answered on another forum, but just wanted to get a second/third opinion - can I bolt these GT40p heads directly to my 302 and go? Is there anything else I need to swap other than the heads themselves?
Donor vehicle was a good running 5.0 from a 97 explorer, so it should have the same cam as mine, I think?
I originally had about $1500 budgeted to redo the heads and perhaps to port match the lower intake - is this worth it, or am I better off just throwing these on and spending the money on a really good exhaust system. Apparently finding the right headers is going to be a trick.
All opinions welcome.

The heads are a bolt on. And you're aware of the different plug angle. Some regular headers will work on the P heads and some don't. Using 90 deg. plug boots seem to clear the exhaust better then straight boots. Adding a set of 1.7 RR will add a bit of power. You'll get a bigger improvement putting these on P or GT40 heads then your stock E7's. You might also have the heads milled .020 before you bolt them on. A bit more compression can't hurt.

^^^Thanks for the comment - forgot about this thread and its been a busy few weeks.
I picked up a "brand new" 302 roller block off of CL for a song and dance. Guy bought it over 10 years ago from summit racing and just sat on it. Also picked up a small block ZF5 tranny to go behind it. So the summer project season is officially upon us.
Here's some engine block ****
