First deer with my ranch hand.

I notice a lot of questions on the internet about ranch hand bumpers on an obs.
My 95 F250 is a complete deer magnet. I have hit 8 in the last 3 years. I need to stop driving southern Utah highways in the middle of the night.
So after #7 and the insurance company screwing me around I bought a ranch hand. It has been on my truck for 9 months. I love the looks and when I finally got #8 on Friday night I could not believe how solid it hit. I was doing just under 80 and hit it square in the middle. So here was the problem. On the front of our frames just behind the shackle mount there is an area where the frame is just a c. Well that part of the frame bent and shifted 1.5" to the right. I pulled the truck into my shop and had my local welder help me straighten the frame. We then built a cross member .5" behind the shackle bolt and welded it to the frame. I am still completely happy with the bumper I just figured this info would be helpful to some. I will post some pics of it tomorrow. Thanks for all the good info I find around here.

Lord! I cant imagine smacking one at 80! Another member went through the same thing. Although after he got the bumper, one rammed his rear door!
