LETS THROW THIS AROUND,
LOOKING TO PUT A GOOD, PROTECTIVE RUST PREVENTING COAT OF SOMTHING ON MY 79 TRUCK, LIKE DURA LINER OR RINO. I READ SOMEONE PUT WALMART BED LINER ON THERE PICKNICK TABLE. SO I STARTED TO CHECK IT OUT. I'VE PUT IT ON MY BED AND LIKED HOW IT TURN OUT. I'VE STARTED DOING UNDER THE BED AND WHEEL WELLS, BACK LOWER PART OF THE CAB. I DID THE CAP RAILS, AND FROM THE LOWER TRIM PIECE DOWN FROM HEAD TO STERN. I HAVE A REAL NICE SAND BLASTER THAT WORKS GREAT. I'VE BEEN BLASTING EVERY PART I'VE PAINTED NOW THAT I'M ALMOST DONE, I WAS WONDERING IF THERES ANYBODY THAT HAS USED THIS STUFF BEFORE AND HAD ANY TIPS OR COMPLANTS.....

Hey Marauder ...is that the one made by duplicolor?? if so i have used it alot ...my buddy is restoreing a 55 belair sedan and we shot all the interior and all the underside to prevent rusting and it came out great ..the only thing is we had to spray about two or three coats..another buddy of mine is do the same on a 72 chevy C10 pick-up that hes using the same stuff and its working out great but all he has done so far is the frame and the insides of the bed and fenders ..but im going to use it on my truck also..take it easy
Thanks for the good word. My last truck I had rino in it. But it was a serouis work truck. After three loads of bricks the bed liner had some spots were the bricks had warn threw. Don't get me wrong, I hauled a load of cement corner posts and they wore threw the duplicolor too. But this duplicolor stuff only cost $6 a can to fill in any bad spots.
Truckpower,
I'm rolling the stuff on now, what are you using to spray that stuff on? I tried a 1/4" spray nozzle at about 35-55psi but it didn't have the thickness or texture that I was looking for.
If you have rino lining (the professionaly done stuff) it has a lifetime guarantee (if you had it put in) So if you wear it out you should just be able to take it at leat thats what I saw on TV. Also it makes an awesome bumper coating it wont fall off like paint on bumpers.
we used that spray gun kit that you buy just looks just like a sandblaster nozzle and just shot it at the psi it recomended ...i cant remember thou ...i know we bought two gallons of it for the 55 belair and went throu both cans its texture is not as rough as i personally like but seems to be tough enough ...take it easy..
That what I thought, about the spray gun.
The rino guys said that I had voided the liftime warrenty, it says right in the contract the things that will put excessive wear and things you can not have in you bed...
