Maybe I'll wait a few weeks and let everyone else be the beta testers.
So why would Super Duties built in December that got Sync 3 Version 2.0 not be eligible for the upgrade?

By not making the upgrade available to a 12/19/16 build it only shows that Ford is totally is mismanaging the release process.

Their system responds we are at the last version 2.2, where in fact, we are not as we are at 2.0

LOL, you know that there are at least two class action lawsuits against Chrysler for their issues with UConnect, right?

This is so frustrating.

Why do companies have to make things like this so difficult and complicated.

Unlocking Zip files, OS compatibility issues, drag and drop to formatted USB thumb drives, eject said thumb drives, then go to the truck and cross your fingers that everything you just did will work as planned.

Totally insane.

What are the new features?

This afternoon, I called a Ford Dealer here in north Atlanta and they quoted me a price of $121.00 for them to do the update and they said it would take a couple of hours.

Lol....They will get that minimum labor charge.

Total ripoff.

Well, I guess I'll turn on a Wi-Fi port for Stync and see if it updates in the next week or so. My file was 2.3gb, so that should be interesting.

Anyone have a link of the Hardware part that is required? I cant find a part number anywhere. Wondering if it really is a physical hardware part or if its something you can unlock using Forscan software

Great news for me today.

Dealer quoted me $138.00 to do the update that i`m having so much trouble with and that really pissed me off.

I call Ford Customer relations and very nicely asked them why are we having to pay for something at a dealer that was advertised and we were told would be on our 2016 trucks.

Needless to say, she didn`t have an answer and she put me on hold to transfer me to the SNYC people.

I asked them the same thing and she asked me for the name of the dealership where I called and she put me on hold. To my surprise, she came back and said that she told the service manager that Ford will cover the charges for them to do the update and she gave the manager all of my info including the VIN# and case# of the phone calls that I had with the SNYC people yesterday and today about the problems i`m having with this download.

If some of you guys are having problems and don`t mind going to a dealer to have it done, perhaps this might work for you but I would suggest you contact the SNYC people first to try and help you with the download so if they can`t you`ll have a case# as well and then you can try to get them to pay your dealer for the update.

Hope this helps.

Mine updated via wifi Thursday. Took 30 minutes of driving yesterday (Friday) before NAV came back online.

Sync was certainly glitchy today. The screen was non-responsive several times, NAV dropped out and lost GPS signal and the voice recognition is super quiet, even with music volume at 20+.

Fantastic job Ford.

It blows my mind that it worked for you and my vehicle says 2.0 is updated.

Maybe that's the difference. I'm on 2.0. It stinks that mine isn't recognizing 2.2 yet.
