Curt hitch and factory prep

Installed a Curt Q25 in my F-350 today that has the factory bed prep. For those that have done this, how hard was it to turn the latches on your hitch to lock into the prep? I adjusted like the instructions said and after finishing putting the hitch together I set back in the holes. Instructions say that you shouldn't have to force handles to turn. 1 handle on each side seems to fit like instruction calls for, light pressure to turn. The other handle on each side barely requires any pressure to turn. If I adjust the bolt to the next hole, I would have to force the handle in. Is it normal for the handle to be "easy" to turn in?

I found there were two tight ones when I went and installed my Reese. I moved it from my 2015 to my 2017 no problem in the 15 but had to back the 2 off in the 17 and put a little lube on them.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of a little lube on the tight ones.

Thumbs up

I removed the cotter keys on the bolts and adjusted my Curt 20 so that they all had the same tension when locking them in the pucks and then put the pins back. Before that I had 2 that were very easy one that was snug and one that was hard to turn.

But its all good now.

I have adjusted all bolts with the cotter pin out too, but still with same results. Talked to Curt and they said what it is doing is normal. They did say the main thing was not to force as it will damage the locking device. Will find out Sunday with first tow of fiver on my trip to Pigeon Forge.
