That is the message center. I'm surprised the F250 doesn't have the optional message center as well.
The standard message center (on this F250) isn't nearly as friendly and useful as the optional message center the 350 has. I can't imagine not having the optional message center. I'm back to the 350 now.

Some things to look for:
Suspension upgrades or options include the tow package, the camper package and snow plow package. You don't need the snow plow package, but if at all possible, you want the tow and camper packages.
NAV: I'm not a fan of OEM navigation units. They seem to have a lot of problems and you have to pay for updates. Better to buy a Garmin with free lifetime updates. Besides, the technology for GPS units is always improving. Who knows what we'll be using in five years and the truck would be stuck with something obsolete.
FX4: four wheel drive has saved my bacon many times pulling a camper on soft ground or wet grass. The FX4 option adds junky shocks, a nice set of skid plates and the electronic locking differential. Non fx4 trucks only get limited slip diff (I think).
Rear step with stripper pole: I'm 60 years old. Getting in and out of the bed of my truck is so much easier with the step and grab handle!
Back up camera: Very handy.
Power folding mirrors: I've had manual tow mirrors and now power extending folding mirrors. I'll never go back to manual!

It seems to me that pretty much everything else is pretty standard and self explanatory. Chrome packages and such are all personal preference.

Oh, and the integrated Trailer Brake Control is another must have in my book. The aux switches, not so much.

Thanks again for the input. After doing some math, I was a bit out of reach for my budget...I'm looking at under $25,000 now..Most of those I'm seeing have over 100,000 miles
