1966 Ford F100 Styleside - 6 Cyl - Manual - 3 on Column

Flimsy clutch release spring and coat hanger found.

Anyone know the proper part numbers and where to locate? Dennis Carpenter only has them fur up to 1960.

Thanks in advance.

The clutch release retracting spring is part number C7TZ 7523-F (4.6" free length) before serial no. 830,001 and part number C7TZ-7523-G (9.16" free length from 830,001 according the MPC.

MacDonald Obsolete parts has 1 of the -G which it looks like is the correct one for your truck.

I would however wait to hear from ND before I spent money on anything.

Same thing as the consecutive unit number, last 6 digits of your VIN.

I found the original part numbers that got superseded by the part numbers in the '75 edition of the MPC.

Before ser no. 830,001: C1TT 7523-E, 4.6 free length.
From ser no. 830,001: C6TZ 7523-C, 9.16" free length.

I have a '69 edition of the parts list, but it's missing a lot of pages, so I stopped trying to use it. Occasionally it comes in handy though.

I bought the 9.16" free length. Its approximately 3" short. Is it normal to have to stretch it out 3" to connect?

Anyone know where I can get the "L" shaped bracket and the part # that the clutch release spring attaches to? I do not want to try and manufacture it

In addition to the 1964/72 Ford truck parts catalog on a C/D (available from hipoparts.com), I also have a 1957/68 Ford Truck loose leaf paper catalog.

C7TZ-7523-F (replaced C1TT-7523-E - 4.60" free length, 53 coils) .. Clutch Release Spring - 4.60" free length, 35 coils / Obsolete

1961/65 F100/250 2WD; 1966 F100 4WD & F100/250 2WD before serial number 830,001.

MAINER FORD in Okarche OK has 2 = 405-263-7242.

HENRYETTA FORD in Henryetta OK has 4 = 918-652-0990.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 4 = 800-476-9653.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 6 = 800-543-4959.

NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 8 = 972-937-2201.
------------------------------------------------------------------
C7TZ-7523-G (replaced C6TZ-7523-C) .. Clutch Release Spring - 9.16" free length, 53 coils / Obsolete

1966 F100 4WD & F100/250 2WD from serial number 830,001; 1967/72 F100 4WD

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Parts catalog pics:

2WD: Spring attaches to a hole in the clutch fork, then into a hole in the frame rail adjacent to the clutch equalizer (Z) bar outer pivot.

4WD & F350: Spring attaches to a hole in the clutch fork, then to a bracket.

Pic doesn't show where the bracket is located, but it has to be near the clutch equalizer bar outer pivot.
