Will front sump 400 pan work on 4x4 f250?
I currently have a rear sump but unfortunately they dont manufacture rear sumps that arent 300 dollars. I dont go wheeling and my suspension is stock. Will the front sump work or will i be using my old rear sump. Trying to replace with new parts during this rebuild

Mmmmm
I don't have a 400 but I would assume you have a rear pickup tube and screen ? That would have to be taken into consideration. Next you have to look at your cross members, axle and other front obstructions that my prevent you from switching, You may have already looked at all that, if not, crawl under and do a mock up of where that pan would sit.... Line out a front sump tube and screen (much more accessible than the rear 4x4)... Then you have too assess the oil volume/rate and make sure what your considering will keep your 400 a happy well lubricated motor..... Lots of 400's around here (or same block family) that hopefully have paved this road already and can help with the details.... Good luck.

I replaced the oil pump and rear sump pickup in my 351m (same as 400) with Melling for under $100.
