Hey all, currently in a 02 7.3 but looking at a 15 6.7. Is there a list of mods (that don't void the warranty) that is posted somewhere?

Also, to ESP or not to ESP, that is the question. Probably going to own this new truck for 8+ years so wondering if its worth the 3K in an ESP.

Another Also, if the new truck does not have the factory skid plates, is there a write-up for procuring and installing? The truck I'm looking at has everything I'd want BUT that.

Also also also, anything I should look at before I buy? Obviously I'll test drive but is there a write-up on buying a 6.7 and what to look for? The one I'm looking at is a 15 with 24K on it.

If it's important to you to keep warranty, then don't put a tune on it, or delete it. Otherwise there are guys who have done just that, and are happy. Ford PCM keeps an undeleteable trace of certain calibration parameters, and if a tune sends those out of spec, Ford will know you tuned it, and any related warranty work will be denied.

 

The skids are easy. I added them to a previous truck. Since they aren't techically an accessory, there isn't a PDF on the install instructions but they can only go in one way. When you raise them into position, you will see the holes that you need to line up. Then it's a nut and bolt installation...
