The "whine" can be an exhaust harmonic, depending if you had some contact with the exhaust pipes, or unusual movements while getting it towed. The smoke, when you were struggling with pulling the GP harness off the motor, could you have left pieces on the exhaust manifold? You also stated that oil was pouring out of the glow plug connection ports when the harness was removed. How much oil is on the manifolds?

Yea, I never thought of all that, but it only smokes when I hear the whine, but I just had it running for awhile and I could see light smoke coming out of the oil dipstick, idk if that's normal. I'm gonna have to pull the turbo and look at the y pipe. I just did a test with AE on the injectors shutting them off and on again. 6 makes no difference. And I just got a code for contribution cyl. 6. Then I did the click test and the click on 6 sounds different than all the others. To top it off, sometimes it will even idle worse when I have 6 turned off! So that makes me think even another injector is going bad! This truck is about to cost me a lot of money I don't even have.
Just pulled the turbo and from my experience with building mini rc turbine engines, that shaft/compressor has way too much play. Bearings are bad. How all of a sudden? I cranked from engine to make sure it was oiling, it was. All of a sudden? Is this just a classic when it rains it pours scenario? Bad luck, or what? What could have contributed to this?
Yea, I WISH I bought injectors. I know I have an injector problem. I have checked/changed everything else in the hpo system. It is an injector/s. But which one(s). Idk. I need to figure it out. If I drive with a bad injector, can the bad apple spoil the bushel?
Theres 3 senereos a inject can dump fuel into cylinder
Orings
Bad internal inject
Stuck siliniod
Broken/stretched holdown
Hydrolock on holdown bolt
I guess 5 ways maybe more ways
Blade, I believe oil was coming in from the stand pipe and going into the cylinder as I was cranking it to get it out! So it was a never ending oil spew.
Also, dumping fuel into cylinder is no longer a problem, that was just negligence. It is still doing the same thing that made me go in there in the first place. Rough idle.
It should fail bubble test if it hydro locks.typicaly and you state if never failed a. Bubble test correct?
That was right after I reassembled the engine. I agree it would have failed a bubble test at that point, but I did not bubble test it. I tore it right apart b/c I knew it was something I did. Now I am back to square one trying to find the rough idle. The hydrolock was a secondary problem trying to look for the rough idle problem. I caused it myself.
