No crank after Radio install? SOLVED!!!!!
Decided to install a double dip on pops truck, bought the adapter harness, solder and heat shrunk the radio harness to the adapter. No the truck won't even crank? So is there a connector on the factory radio that allows the alarm to set? Need advise quick.
Thanks Y'all....
PS.no blown fuses relays or anything funky the alarm is set, the light on the dash keeps flashing and a display of check gauges appears on the dash with KOEO.

I installed a double din radio in my 05 F150 XLT with a factory single CD radio and i didnt have to hard wire anything to the original wiring. I just wired the new installation harness to the new radio and it was plug an play with the original radio connectors. So i never changed anything with the wiring on the truck.
Side note i did just get a 07 FX4 and I'm swapping out the radio from my 05 XLT and one the the connectors from the new radio does not match up with one of the connectors in the 07. So I'm guessing its because of basic (XLT) sound system to premium (FX4) sound system. I have the radio working just no DVD. Just havent bought the correct connector from Best Buy yet. Not sure if any of this helps or make sense

That part number (7L2J-19G367-AA) is a "Dealer Install-able" remote start system , and if that last pic shows it's wiring, is a complete cobble job. I hope it wasn't actually installed by a dealer, although I really wouldn't be surprised if it was. That being said, it appears to have a "Starter Interrupt" function. Check that the starter wire from the ignition switch (Red/Light Blue) is securely connected to the "Starter Interrupt (Key Side)" wire on the alarm module (Violet/Red) and the "Starter Interrupt (Motor Side)" wire on the alarm (Violet) is connected to the (Red/Light Blue) wire which goes into the harness, and eventually to the starter relay.
Another option for testing is to bypass the alarm module and connect the cut Red/Light Blue wire back together and try starting it. If it starts (or at least cranks) then the issue lies with the starter interrupt of the alarm module.
My guess is the Radio install really had nothing to do with the No Crank condition, and that a connection was knocked loose or something like that.

Thank you for the response, and yes they used butt connectors to splice the wires aggh. I by passed the alarm by putting the factory harness wires to there corresponding colors and still didn't crank. I saw some out of place wires on the radio harness connectors that are not factory I left them alone I also pulled codes, have to write them down I'll post them tomorrow.
