Part number verification

found the accelerator pedal to floor pan bracket on my 85 ln700 corroded through today.

From my parts catalog The accelerator assembly appears to be p/n E1HZ-9725-A (FPS-8473-A, SXN 97, page 11) however it isn't clear from the illustrated catalog as to what makes up the accelerator assembly.

There is a pedal assembly listed on page 13 but the part number is odd (56320-S4)-am I reading the pedal assembly p/n incorrectly?

either way anybody got a source for a new, used accelerator pedal and bracket for a 1975 LN700 990N DD?

From my 1980/89 heavy truck parts catalog. The accelerator assembly appears to be p/n E1HZ-9725-A (FPS-8473-A, SXN 97, page 11).

However it isn't clear from the illustrated catalog as to what makes up the accelerator assembly.
Illustration Section 97.1 page 24 ~ Look at 9725 in lower pic (looks clear to me).

There is a pedal assembly listed on page 13 but the part number is odd.
It's odd because you are looking below the 9725's at the attaching parts.

56320-S4 .. Bolt-Accelerator Shaft to Floor Pan (L/LN/LNT/LT/LTS) / hex washer head: 5/16" -18 x 7/8" long.

Either way anybody got a source for a new, used accelerator pedal and bracket for a 1975 LN700 990N DD?
What year is the LN700 you want the accelerator assembly (does not include the pedal) for, 1975 or 1985?

E1HZ-9725-A = 1981/89 LN700 with Detroit DDA 990 V8 diesel.

I don't know how I didn't catch that typo-it is a 1985 LN700.

I have found a accelerator assembly that visually appears to be identical to the part for mine but I have no part number cross reference/supercession document to verify it could be used in lieu of the E1HZ-9725-A. The part I am looking at is an E7HZ-9725-AA

The part I am looking at is an E7HZ-9725-AA Invalid part number. I'm using the same 1980/89 Ford Heavy Truck parts catalog as you are, it's not listed.
1985 LN700: What size/type is the engine?

E1HZ-9725-A applications listed in post #2.

So I have looked at the Illustrated catalog again and I seem to have misread it this morning- I need the 9735 pedal (which must come with the floor pan bracket attached, near as I can tell)-since there is no separate p/n listed for the bottom, hinged piece.

i also double checked the p/n I have found on eBay that visually appears identical it is E7HZ-9735-AA not a 9725 as I incorrectly listed in a prior post.

apologize for the confusion- I am still getting used to finding my way around this parts manual

Most ebay sellers haven't a single clue what parts fit and don't know a part number from an ID number!

E7HZ-9735-A .. Accelerator Pedal / Marked with ID engineering # E7HT-9735-AA

1987/89 F600/800 w/FTO diesel.
-------------------------------------
If you look at the pic I posted the reference to, you can see that the pedal comes by itself.

EOHZ-9735-C .. Accelerator Pedal all I-6 & V8 gas/diesel, but the parts catalog only lists 1980/89 L/LN/LNT/LT/LTL/LTS800/900 / Obsolete ~ 100+ available NOS (2 in WA)

There's no pedal listed for the above 600/700, so the 800 is probably a typo.

How far do you live from Auburn? SCARFF FORD has 2 = 800-543-2705.

Auburn is only 11 miles from where I live so getting it at Scarff would be no problem-if I read your response correctly (and I may not have)-the E0HZ-9735-C pedal is the correct pedal part no. for all L series from 80/89? Am I safe in assuming that the Ebay part (incorrect as it might be) is likely not a usable part since the applicability is F600/800 w/FTO diesel?

Thanks for all the help-even though I'm a relatively adept, shade tree wrench turner (and an aircraft engineer to boot) I have a bit of a hard time working my way through the Ford Parts manual.

ebay seller hasn't a clue, listed the ID number as the part number.
I don't know what the applications are that the seller listed, but the catalog says 1987/89 F600/800 w/FTO diesel. So, it's not correct for a Louisville.

According to the catalog, the EOHZ-9735-C pedal fits all 6 & V8 engines, but it's only listed for 1980/89 L/LN/LNT/LTL/LTS 800/900.

There's no pedal listed for these 600/700's but there is a pedal for these trucks, so I would assume that 800 is a typo.

Be aware that 9735 is just the pedal only. It bolts to a 9798 bracket (separate part).

7A710 rod attaches to the bracket, then to the accelerator assy 9725 (another separate part) that bolts to the firewall.

See the parts here: Illustration Section 97.1 .. page 24, lower pic.

Looks like I'll be making a trip to Auburn and buying a E0HZ-9735-C. spendy little part, I might add but it is what it is.

thanks again for sorting me out.

MSRP: $45.09 ~ Dealer net cost: $30.06.

Best price on the net: autonationfordwhitebearlake.com (MN) = dealer cost +10% on everything and they have 11 of these puppies.

You might mention this to Scarff to see if you can get a better price.

They'd have to come down a loooonnnngg way-they were quoting over $200 for it. I won't be sourcing through them based on your price quote-that's for darn sure.

Here are some more Ford dealer sources for EOHZ-9735-C =

GOODE MOTOR CO. in Burley ID has 3 = 208-878-1668.

NORTHSIDE FORD TRUCK in Portland OR has 4 = 503-282-7782.

AUTO NATION FORD in White Bear Lake MN has 11 = 800-328-9552.

DON'S TRUCK SALES in Fairbank IA has 27 = 319-635-2751.

LONG LEWIS STERLING in Bessemer AL has 75 = 800-476-3716.

BOYER FORD TRUCKS in Minneapolis MN has 81 = 800-999-4327.

There are a lot more besides these, at least 135 more. But these sources are either the closest or have the largest quantity.

Scarff can get away asking this HIGH BUCK! price, because they are the only source in WA that has any.

But some/all of the above dealers may be cheaper.
