I'm running firestone accuride wheels, some are off 70's m35a2's and some off m105 trailers, they are the same wheels on trailers and trucks for the examples i've come across. I'm running goodyear g177 radial 11.00-20's on them in the rear as duals, these tires came on the 900 series 5 ton when they got rid of the ndt tires. They work great as duals, only problem I have is it's hard to get a good contact patch on the ground as they are very heavy rated tires. I ran them as singles on my f500 and raised the bed, got alot more highway speed and never had a load problem. for duals i've dropped pressure way down.

And there is enough space between them to prevent them touching?

plenty of room, not even close, could put my hand between the tires, tires are very close to the spring but still room and I would not be worried with a heavy load

OK, lost my mind for a moment. M35a2.

But they are still a 6 on 8.75" pattern.

I wonder if any of those ran tubeless with that pattern?

they were all tube type, some of the m105a3 trailers use a tubeless 22.5 6 lug, same pattern, but it's a centered wheel, can't run duals. some of the late 80's and 90's f600's have the same pattern and tubeless 22.5 wheels, 2 of my 70's f600's have them, pretty hard to find. military kept tubes till they went to super singles and 2 piece wheels with an 0-ring, or 10 lug budd wheels.

Sounds like you found some wheels that I found no record of. Would guess they were either produced after my most recent 3/91 Accuride catalog, or might have been withheld from civilian catalogs. I have seen other earlier examples where wheels weren't listed in the catalogs during their military service life. Stu

You could always buy new 22.5's like I did.. they are about 250 a wheel.. but oh late model tubeless radials...
