Looks like he welded it back on ? Threads should not get screwed up as long as they use anti-seize on the thread.

It looks like extensions welded on to me. I'll try to remember to take pictures of mine this afternoon.
I'm guessing the spark plugs have never been changed or were changed way to late, and the rich mixture from some misfires has started clogging the cat. I recommend at least checking the plugs.
I don't know a lot about the scanner your using, but can it read misfires while driving?

They are not behind the cats they are basically in the center of them. I plan on doing plugs. With how bad the air filter was I'm sure they haven't been done. Just waiting for when I have time to dive in to the project. I about shat myself when I seen it had 16 plugs!

Use factory replacement motorcrafts. No where near $10 a plug. You realize there is a dedicated 6.2 section on here? It's located in the performance, engine and trouble shooting section. There is a thread or two in there just about changing plugs. Also threads on cats and the same codes you have.
