Just a comment on how leak-prone Holley 94's are.

LOL...I think it’s a tight one. PV is from Charlie and I leak tested it on the bench. The jet plugs have Teflon coated gaskets from Charlie Price. The horn and body are NOS and the kit came from Daytona. It’s dry as a bone.

Well we worked pretty much all day on fitting the front sheet metal and prepping everything for a coat of epoxy and high build. Still have to patch two places on the passenger door but we hung it to test the fit and it fit like a glove. The rain delayed the primer coats until the morning.

I seen that you changed out the springs in the back, How did that work out? what did you use over the springs in the bottom (foam)?

Hey Don the rear springs were not too bad. Hardest part as you probably know is getting the pins out. We made a puller tool and it worked well.

Not sure about your foam question, can you elaborate?

When you had the seat covered did they add foam. I like what you have done to your 52, mine was beat up pretty bad. I worked 4 months just on the front fenders.
Thanks for the reply

Oh I thought you were talking about the leaf springs LOL.

Yes the upholstorer added foam, lots of it. The springs were in really good shape and I think he only had to repair a few. It sits really nice and has good comfortable support. He is wrapping the sunviser and the armrests in the same fabric.

Spent a little time last night plating a few parts really prone to rust. I can only do about 20 inches per bath so going for another batch tonight.

2nd batch, one side of the trim medallion bracket, dome light bezzle screws, steering wheel hardware, and the divider bar hardware while I was at it. Next batch will be vent window odd ball rubber washers and window felt clips.

Good question Ross, I forgot to give those details.....its nickel plated in an electroless bath from Caswell. It seems to work well although somewhat of a science project to calculate the bath replenishments. The items that are not pitted really turn out nice. I could level out the pits a little by plating in copper first but its mostly hidden hardware and I am just protecting the parts more than I am concerned about appearance.

I use the blackening solution from caswell for my blackened hardware that i don't want to paint. It holds up very well and doesn't mark up when you put a wrench to it.
I have not tried the nickel plating but i want to.

Well it seems like Dad and I have stalled out the last few weekends. Bleeding the brakes has turned into a job lasting longer than it should, chasing leaks, etc. It seems like everything that can leak is so leak control has derailed our body work. Latest problem is the fan hub, it’s leaking. I have a new bearing on the way so hopefully that solves that. In beteeen leaks I was able to make new 2/0 battery cables. Hopefully next weekend we are back to sanding and priming parts.
