1954 Marmon-Herrington 6M254 on Spokane CL
Appears to be a complete unbutchered 6M254 project truck on the Spokane CL. Seems straight and rust free from what can be seen in the pics. No asking price, so I hope the seller doesn't confuse rarity for value. I have no connection to the seller. Stu

This feature of the M254, and I suspect larger models like Josh's COE, would be nice to have on our earlier trucks. Would save banging ankles into the lever between our knees. Stu

Don't know, but would make a SWAG that the combined F-250/F-350 numbers mimic those of the earlier F-2/F-3 production. That I know, based on axle numbers, to be between 300 and 400 a year. Older members might remember former FTE member Kenjh from BC who had/has a similar F-350/M354. His truck had front axle issues that 1952henry helped with by sending him a set of axle shafts he saved from a 6 lug front axle he found in a yard years earlier. We found that the part numbers were the same for M254s and M354s.
But you're doing so well with your R3-4, and heck, this one is right there in your back yard after all. Not like you'd have to haul it home from Montana.
Notice how I haven't nagged you for your axle number? But I sure would appreciate including it in the log. Thx. Stu

" Half way Home " would be one way to look at it. I think that truck is Drop Dead Georgous ( I love the 54's fanged grills) but it just doesn't fit into my plans, now perhaps if it was a year or two older we would be having a very different conversation..HaHa. I hope somebody is able to save her.

And Dave, I'm totally in agreement that you aren't the best guy to rescue the truck. It shares nothing with your truck. At least the '53 chassis that I rescued shared front axle, transfer case, rear spacers, and wheels with my R32-4. I can't think of anything this one has that is common to yours.
Unless you decided that having one of each era was of interest. I harbor a "need" for a '46/'47 tonner OT5-4. But have been benefitted by never having seen one come up for sale. Stu
