Stock wheels2wd/stock height- what size tire

Son has 95 EXtended cab 2wd with zf5. It has the oem wheels with oem tire size. 23585r16 i think. Tires will have to be replaced in near future.

Although, i have not mentioned it to him, it looks like it could use more tire.
My truck originally came with 24575r16 which now look much better with 28575r16 tires. I recalibrated speedo on mine. I saw procedure to recalibrate his in search.

I did a search but is there anyone out there that can say how and if the 26575r16 would fit without rubbing and how does it do? He bought this truck last summer. It had a good base and he has been fine tuning things as part of an FFA project. He does not turn 16 for a few more months so we are trying to make things dependable for when that time comes.

The 265/75r16s are nearly the same height as the 235/85r16s, just a little wider. They came as the standard size on the early Superduty 4X4s out here. They will fit with no problem. Some run the 285s, on stock suspension, with just shimming the front bumper out a little.

Mines 2 wheel drive and run 285-75-16. I had to shim the bumper 2" for them to fit, mine are also MT tires so the extra meat on the side wall scrapes at full lock.

Thanks for the responses. I thought they were nearly identical in height.

He hunted for months for an OBS with a 7.3, zf transmission, and two tone. I was really (pleasantly) surprised when the second one he presented to go look at was a 2 wd. The first one was really bad and i suggested to him to keep looking a little longer

Most will pay top dollar for a 4X4, but in my case the reality of it I didn't need 4X4 but once a year.
