I found a 3 gallon pack of Valvoline 5W-40 Premium Blue Extreme Synthetic for $56.15 on Amazon. It doesn't look like it is in stock but I think it will arrive in time for my first oil change.

Walmart motorcraft

I have ran t6 since first oils change @3,000 miles. Now have 18,000. Since vpbe 5w40 Is hard to find in my area and expensive, I wonder if one should stick with either motorcraft 10w30 or 15w40 till t6 gets straightened out with ford?

I thought I had scored a good deal on some T6 but took it back instead. I didn't want to take any chances with it.

Thanks for the heads up! Stopped at NAPA on the way home and picked up 3 gallons, all they had in stock.

Peak 5w40

I have been examining the list of approved oils Ford has out and trying to find approved oils local. I did find valvoline pbe at napa. I was at advanced auto and found some peak 15w40 diesel oil. Called advanced, auto zone, and orielys and all said they could not get full synthetic even though they could order 15w40. I emailed peak asking the best way to purchase their oil since the local retailers could not get it. This was their response:

Sorry we don’t sell directly to the public...as for the oil
That is very hard to come by seeing its not really ordered at the retail level.
Its mostly sold in bulk to commercial end users.
Sorry....

i would think they would want as much much business as possible to include the general public. I guess even though peak is on fords list, they will be no help for those looking for approved brands.
