OK. Looks like you did it. Congratulations. I highly recommend you change the trans fluid in about 800-1000 miles and then as recommended. Also change the oil and filter if you haven't already done that. I never trust a used vehicle so I change all fluids to be sure. Differential etc. Can you teach me how to read a schematic?

Since this is so specifically step by step, I vote this needs to be stickied. So new members can easily be pointed here.

i thank you guys so much for all your help! After I initially got it together the shift linkage wasn't where it belonged so had to pop a rod back out and fix it but she is golden now! I wouldn't have been able to do any of this without your help

Wow........this is awesome!! Glad you got it fixed.
Sandy, you really stepped up to the plate on this. I was having a hard time keeping up on all the posts. But since I'm at work I can't always be here.

Thanks. I was reluctant, but I have had so many folks here help me that I wanted to give something back. Plus I really like a challenge. I'm good for a while now.

Yeah man, somebody needs to take YOU out on the town, Sandy. Haha! Solid performance.

Ksanglem, outstanding effort. If you ever want to tackle a vacuum leak, I'm sure I'll still have one by then :-p
