What Sensor is this? 03 4.2L V6 - Cant find it!!!

Hey guys, been creaping around in here for ages for insider F150 information. Thanks for all the help. Hope i can contribute as much as possible.

I have 2 4.2L F150's, and while hunting around looking to find the source of a miss, I came across this empty wire lead. Its a red wire leaving the wire loom that the igniton coil pack is fed by. On my other truck i found it, hugging around the rear of the passenger side head cover.

Heres a picture of the one im looking at.
What is this?
Why is mine missing?
Does it matter?
Thanks!

I attatched a photo of it with a green arrow pointed to it.
Hope its no biggie! Thanks!

I wish I could help it's been to long since I had my 2000 with the 4.2, but did you realize you posted this in the 2015-2018 forum? You might try putting it in. the forum that covers the 4.2 V6 or in the correct year model forum.

Hard to tell from that angle but it looks like it could be a radio noise suppression capacitor.
