So from 1991 to 2012 he/she paid for tags and insurance to drive 3800 FEET per year? To the fridge and back for a year? Yea, that sounds about right.
Huh?
5535miles×(5280ft/mile)×(2012-1991)=1.39 million feet per year. Or, more in line with how most of us think about mileage, 263 miles a year. While very low, that's further than the fridge.
That truck should be used for nothing but a Sunday drive and a few shows. I have NEVER seen a dent free bed on these trucks.
I'm sure there is someone out there that would pay a decent amount for it.
I've had two of them. The '89 had a bedliner in it when I bought it(had 75K miles). I pulled it out and it was perfect grey paint. My '95 is still polished red after I pulled the liner out of it. The original owner put a piece of foam down so it didn't even scratch the paint in the last 20 yrs. It had 60K miles on it.
There was a '95 for sale locally last year that had very low mileage. He wanted $15k for it. Don't know if it ever sold. It was nice, but most can't afford that price even for a 20 yr old truck. Banks likely won't loan on it either.
I think it goes "around his parking lot" but that's about it, This was the-now-owner's Dad's truck, and the Galixie 500 next to it is also currently registered...
