I would be interested in putting a manual in mine actually. I don't know what it would do to the resale value though.
I would think it would depend on the motor and the mods. A 6.8 would lose some value, but with a clean diesel that was modded correctly it would make it a little different that the rest of the trucks on the market. Someone that is looking for that would be inclined to pay much more for the conversion (granted it was a clean conversion with no issues).
I wouldn't personally but that's because I have another car that is a manual and when I drive the Ex I don't want to change gears.. just drive and relax.
It helps the resale of the Excursion i have sold the last 3 that i did the conversion on in 3 weeks or less.
Yeah, great at what price?
What condition?
It would be interesting to see some pictures.
Fantastic...I've read all five of your fivetastic posts, but as our friend Sean wonders...

Man of few words...
FYI, we're a hands-on tech forum and would like to learn more about the conversion. It's kinda like a Brotherhood thing; we all benefit. We share what we know and have learned.
I grabbed quite a bit of my info from this thread on Pirate4x4 when I did my swap. The mechanics aren't hard, but the wiring and getting cruise to work take some thinking.
It's hard to run a business and drive a stick shift at the same time. For that reason absolutely not.
I don't see how running a business has anything to do with driving. You shouldn't be on the phone, using the phone, or looking at the phone while driving. If you are, you're one of "those" people that **** everyone else off on the road because you're not NEARLY as good as multitasking as you think you are.
