carburator problem?

Hi.
I have a 351 W motor in a F-250. Could anyone tell me a replacement carburator? All of the polluction stuff has been previously removed and I am looking for an easy install without all the pollution crap.

do you mean an aftermarket carb? if it is 2 bbl. then holley makes a nice 500 cfm carb but if it is 4 bbl. or you want to spend some extra cash to get another intake edelbrock has a 650 carb for 250 model # 1406 i have that one it is nice and it work great as long as you take care of it

Just to make certain.... I have an '86 F-150 with a Holley 4bbl. They carb has to go...or be remanned. I would like to put an Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm on instead of another Holley. In addition to the tranny kicker, do I also have to change the intake man?

it depends on if your carb is a spreadbore or not but they make adapters to make it fit

I've had good luck with both Holley's and Carter's. A 625 Carter AFB with electric chock would be nice carb. If you have a auto you need one with the ford kickdown. Check out Summit Racing. If your truck is a 4 barrel. I thought those years were, My 460 is.

Thanks guys. I'll proceed, but be prepared for the ever required extra trips to the parts store.
