So I have had my 2010 f150 with the 5.4 3v in it for a little over a year. In the span I have already had to replace the phasers. Now I'm about 8k into the new phasers and I'm wondering if it is possible and how much it would be to swap a bulletproofed 6.0 into the truck. And help or comments would be appreciated
Lots and lots of fabrication. You will also need a complete donor truck for all the little stuff such as wiring, tranny, engine sensors etc etc. Best thing to do is sell the truck and get a diesel equipped truck.
The diesel 6.0 is not the engine you want. I had one it sucked the life out of my bank account.
I would recommend looking at a v10(Super Duty)- or 5.0(f150). I had a v10 before my kid took it for his truck. Great motor good power.
