Tell me about factory radio bezels

I need a little education on radio bezels. I got a new retro-sound radio around christmas time and now I'm looking at my hacked up dash (formerly had a CD player) and it looks like I need a radio bezel. I have seen separate bezels but it also looks like a bezel might be molded into the new Dennis Carpenter dash bezel itself. Was the radio bezel integrated into the dash bezel at some point?

Here is how I normally see them. That radio bezel (73-77) in the pic is pot metal, then they have a plastic newer (78/79) version.

I have seen the plastic bezel made into the dash bezel also.

Thanks for the info guys.

77&79F250, is the rectangular radio opening the same size between the two styles?

As far as I know it is, between the metal or plastic. Also be aware that the bezel is not straight on the ends. It is angled, narrower at the top than the bottom.
