To me it looks like the clear is shot. Some of the rims have some texture on them especially where the bad sections meet the good. I do not have the space to store a complete set of wheels and tires so that would be a bit of a pain. Also, I may want some more aggressive tires for winter driving but I have not driven this one on snow covered roads so who really knows how they will work. I have spun them on slightly wet pavement when taking off from a stop.

Yes it does, and I already factored into the cost a "rebuild" kit for the TPMS. I may try something to see if I can get any improvement to the looks of the OEM wheels.

Actually the MB wheels that I posted are through Discount Tire and if I wanted to get my tires from them, they would come all ready mounted. The drawback there is the tires are a bit more than what I can get them locally and then you have shipping charges on top of that.

Well, I'd see if maybe you could try George's idea, before getting new wheels. That way, if you make them better, so be it. If it doesn't work, move on to new ones!

I may do that just to see, but I am also liking the idea of some black matte wheels on there.

You can always paint the rims.

But to make it look right, would still need to clean them up so the paint is smooth....lol

Take one off and throw it up on the kitchen counter and go to work on it.

I wouldn't use the counter, the table will work just fine.

PS, not recommended to use the oven to help cure the paint on exhaust manifolds...

Howdy George!

I thought the counter because Neil is a tall man but his Mrs may knock him down to where the table would be just fine.

If I decide to do anything, it would be to my benefit to work in the driveway. I have learned from prior efforts to do things in the house on the table

Working on the driveway is better than getting your **** kicked in the house.
