Happy Thunderbird Thursday Nor Cal. No rain in the forecast today, only that it will be cloudy. Rain predicted tomorrow though.

Well, it's been raining here since 3:00 AM and is supposed to go through Saturday.

Forecast is for an inch plus for tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday. It ain't over till it's over, and then we're not sure.

I'm sure not thirsty this Thursday. Wetness all around us.

Well we keep re-electing the same people and expecting it to get better.......definition of insanity.

Sick of hearing about a drought though. Cant even drive my truck into the backyard without it sinking in the mud...drought my behind

I'm guessing that the south part of the state didn't do as well.

I was messing around with a new app called Lapse It. I made a short time lapse video of my new hiking trail I'm making in the backyard. It is very steep terrain and the trail ends at an old tree house that has fallen into disrepair over the past few decades. Last week I went face to face with a Gray Fox at the top of the ladder.

That backyard looks like it is bigger than this entire apartment complex. LOL

Pretty big blow last night. Our power went out several times, and I just switched off the transfer switch at around 9:30 PM. Too many ups and downs and brownout-type conditions. I guess the power came on again after midnight, but we did not switch back until 6 this morning.

Our weather station connection to Wunderground was off during that time, so I don't know what the wind gusts were. According to the weather station, which shows a 24-hour average speed, the average wind speed was ~~ 70 MPH last night for a time. So gusts were in the 80-90 MPH range (I'm guessing).

We don't have the wind here, and the rain has pretty much stopped for now, but it was raining steady this morning. They now say it will be rainy tomorrow too. Changed from partly cloudy to rain. So I guess it is sticking around awhile.
