Lots of snow loading damage in that whole area this winter. Weiser lost its only food market - Ridley's, its bowling alley, and the big wood shed at the lumberyard. For a while, people had to go to Payette to get beer, and on icy roads, no less! Horrors!

And, yes, the Payette River is at flood stage. If you look downriver from the 95 bridge, you can almost see it backing up from the Snake. Where Payette got two tenths of an inch of rain yesterday, Boise got an inch and a half, so it's all coming downstream!

Was there for seed production fields, net houses, carrot breeding work. Also got to know Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Wilder.

Fun and games for sure!

Interesting that it doesn't look like that 'on paper'.

Bill,

This winter has been their once-in-a-hundred-years winter. It probably won't be like that again in our lifetimes.

Boise didn't have it nearly as bad as it was over on the western edge of the state. Ontario, Payette, Fruitland, Weiser, all hit hard.

If you haven't checked out Google Maps recently, take a look. You can play Pacman on the street map.

Saw that earlier today. WTF is THIS??

It's Ms. Pacman, and I believe that she goes away on the 4th, so do it soon if you're so inclined!

I wish I had time for fun stuff. Most of the time on these week long work trips I have zero time for fun stuff. With no days off and 12-14 hour work days its a lot of work sleep work.

Speaking of TV cameras, I ran into Marc (TurboHunter) this morning at the tire store.

I was buying a spare for our trailer, and he was getting a full set for another '74 F-project.

He's got a great-looking Black Lab, who looked like he really wanted to drive Marc's '61 Uni, and I wish I had gotten a picture of him sitting in the driver's seat.

Yes, Marc has the Uni now, his wife drives the SuperDuty! Something about overhead clearences in parking structures....

Suuure.

Food for thought...our future workforce.

My 11 yr old wants to be a research physicist (Sheldon). We may be in trouble if he works on WALL-E.

Hah
I was just getting on to say I had a great chat with Pop today at the tire store but he beat me to it.
Spent most of the day getting my brothers truck a bit more secure for daily driving. Got it running before 5 and took it back to the tire store for a new pair of shoes.
Cammer was supervising the entire day.
