Good evening, everyone. Looks like the boat isn't gonna happen, ended up spending about 5 hours wiring in the 7-pin connector. I've never liked wiring.
Now to plug the trailer in and see if everything works. Damn them and their "smart" trailer wiring...this stupid thing shuts off all outputs unless it determines there's a trailer attached. I'm using the factory outputs for the lighting circuits, so hopefully the trailer lights work.
Why so long? I bought a T-connector from etrailer.com and plug and play! I did wire up a 7-pin connector in place of the 4-pin as I've never had luck with 4-pin. It only took about 15min extra.

Took awhile for me to fish through the interior for a 12v line that would power my brake controller, and the reverse circuit that was in the roof. Never would have found that one without Alldata.
Nope, that kit is just the 4-pin, which my car had from the factory. I reused the factory lighting outputs and spliced them into the 7-pin connector. The hard part was finding and tapping the extra two inputs that I needed, which were 20A 12v, and the reverse light circuit.
Work today, then get my wrist fixed tomorrow. I don't return to work until next Friday. Looking forward to the break, but am gonna miss the use of my right hand for a bit.
