Brake lines, to coil or not to coil?

Hey guys, I'm running new 3/16 copper nickel brake line and was wondering should I coil it near the master or leave it straight? I've heard of doing it both ways any thoughts?

It's nice to have some way of providing slack in the lines in case there's any flex between cab and chassis.

Even if you only do 1-2 coils is better for flexing.

Thanks guys for the input. So should the coils be between the cab and chassis?

Right before the master cylinder.

I usually just make a loop or coil just before it hooks to the master cylinder, unless there is a hose to provide the flexibility.

Originally, my '58 F-100 had a hose from both master cylinders to allow for flex between the body and frame. When I replaced the brake lines, the hose was no longer available so I added a coil to the line as was the practice with the newer body-on-frame cars before things like ABS. The hose from the clutch master cylinder is still there.

Looks like you used thread tape? With the inverted flare fitting you don't require thread tape.
