4.0 lifter noise/lifter replacement
91 Aerostar 4.0 E4WD Oil pump went, and has been replaced. Lifter is very loud. Replaced 10/40 oil with 20/50 still no change in noise. Any ideas or do i need to replace the lifter, and if so do the heads have to come off to replace the lifter? Any suggestions, advice? Is there an web site that covers the proceedure? Thanks in advance.
