If you want to travel to Griffin there is a junkyard full of old Fords. As far as dents Alex in Macon is working on his. He putting a blueprint engine from sum it match with a high performance Mustang trandy.
You need to ditch the 16.5 and go with 16. Tons of wheel and tire options. The yards should have some. The pattern changed in 1999. If you check the center opening chevy wheels may work

That's funny that about that Alex, guy I did a project just like that put a 302 with a transmission from a Mustang I can't remember with the motor was in it but everything fit together nice and snug and I thing runs like a top. Thats my other 73 but a f100
Ya im lookin around for rims
Might have to go to that junkyard!

well its been a minute since I got the first block! so far its gone as such
First block -- remanufacture crack -- master machinist rechecked everything found a large crack so block is trash
second block -- cylindrical crack on cylinder 1 -- got from a guy of Craigslist retards had it siting in a shed an 2 cylinders had standing water in them ( course didn't find out till I took it home and apart) so it was a trash block also
But it had some almost virgin heads on them so I scored there and was worth the money for the block
Third -- GREAT CONDITION!!!! -- this is a extra strong variant with a 105 mirror image. meaning from what I have found it has stronger webbing in it and can take a full .80 over if need be
Thankfully the block is great we are going .40 over and go from there
but the master machinist said it was a great block no problems. he double checked all the test just to verify its good to go!
back to working on the bed and body!

Time for a update!
I had to take a break for a while I had some medical problems that are all good now!
but even so I still made some progress
the bed has been patched, rewelded and remounted on the frame
the brackets for the bench seat is all made up
its all ready to get rhinolined (that is this weekend)
the engine bay is ready for cleaning and paint
along with the front clip is striped and ready to paint as well
had a snafu with the pistons bought press fit wrist pin style needed float style
got some nice hypereutectic aluminum pistons will be going 40 over on bore and crank and rods are 30 over
with some luck they may get it all rebuilt before the end of the week!
besides that still a long list of other things
cab floor repairs
undercoating the whole truck
removing and rebuilding the rear
just straight cleaning the crap out of the nooks n cranny's
finishing the topper
then all the doodads I want to put on it
so much fun so little time!
