In a previous truck I had, I put it in the glove box. Worked fine but wind noise was so bad I could not hear it unless I was stopped so in my next truck I went without a radio. Never missed it...
I just got one of them new fangled cassette players.
You do? Where can I get one? My 8-track keeps eating tapes!. I'm using bucket seats, and will mount the Radio in the center consol. I'm sure they make some, that you hide, and use a remote faceplate, or just remote control. Good luck.
I went without the typical radio. I put in a small 4 channel AMP and connected a bluetooth receiver to it. Then just sync my phone and stream music from my phone. Keeps things nice and neat.
Who needs a radio that broadcasts more commercials than music? I use my phone and earbuds or when in my other car, I can pipe it through the radio. And if you have any kind of a decent exhaust, you wouldn't be able to hear anything inside the truck.

This is my plan as well. I'm going to hide a Bluetooth enabled amp under the seat and keep a USB charger handy.
I have Amazon Prime and can stream thousands of songs and genre based "stations" through my phone. For the very few areas I can't get good enough service I also have a hundred or so songs stored on the phone itself.
