All albums gone

I haven't been active on here for a few years until recently. I had a few albums of pics of my old truck and engine rebuild. I last saw them in early 2014 when I logged in to show a coworker a pic of my old car and everthing was still there. The user interface has changed since then and I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. I got back on to FTE regularly towards the end of 2016. Any ideas as to what happened? Its no huge loss, but it'd be nice to recover them. I no longer have the originals, they're from '06-'07 ish.

No I hadn't. It's not a huge deal to me, I was just wondering if something changed on the site and they for some reason had to wipe out albums or something or perhaps for inactivity.

You can view your old gallery, but you cannot change it.

I clicked the link and yes it shows the galleries I had, but you click on those and it says they no longer exist. It just shows that initial thumb, for me anyway.

If you used photo bucket they changed things and no longer use third party hosting and if you want it you have to pay a lot of money. Lots of people complaining for sure.

Click on the album title, not the thumb picture.

Yes, it shows the first gallery. The other two are no longer in existence. They were loaded onto FTE, so I'm pretty sure photo bucket didn't dump my pics. It's all good though.

Thats so rude of an organization. Isn't there any law or something about changing the policy that you can't change any policy which may cause your customers a financial or any loss until and unless the majority of customers agree with the company. They have huge users database.

Have you ever actually read an EULA? Trust me, when you click on "I agree to all terms and conditions", they are covered three ways to Sunday. Anything you submit belongs to them. Forever. FTE is probably the same, but if I lose a picture of a fouled spark plug or whatever it's no sweat.

Last I remember, the old Galleries are still available for viewing, here's how...

Find a post made by the person with the gallery... in that post, click their username... a context menu appears in which you choose to "View Gallery" or something similar.

But they were still all there as of a few years ago and, to my knowledge, are still there.

Yeah, I understand. I tried clicking my own name in this thread and clicking on view gallery. It shows my 3 albums, but if I click on anything other than the first one (such as the one for pics of my engine) it says that gallery is no longer in existence. I uploaded all my pics straight to FTE years ago. I've never made a photobucket account. Photobucket has ruined this forum for me as of late, every thread I find that might potentially help me with an issue has nothing but pictures held hostage by them. Pretty frustrating when a post will say look at such and such picture to see how I fixed my problem. Sacred Blue!

Heck I even clicked on your gallery and your MISC album does the same thing. Poof! Gone!

Tedster's 64 F100 album. Poof! Gone!

At least I'm not the only one!

Sorry guys, we're no longer supporting the old galleries. Other sites on our network used a built-in vBulletin gallery product that we could import files from, but FTE did not use that system, so there was no way for us to pull the old images to migrate them into the new "Gallery 3" system.
