Best High Mileage Synthetic Blend
#16
Okay, I thought I was going to go Valvoline but I'm not sure now.
I can get either the synthetic blend or the full synthetic for close in price with a rebate on Valvoline, are either of the additive packs different?
Most noticeably Maxlife syn blend is absent in Moly and Barium. This additive pack looks weak on paper, Quaker State is cheaper all-around and looks great on additives. These two are usually friction modifiers/maybe anti-wear. Valvoline just relies on Zinc and their "novel" friction modifiers (none of which are industry recognized, probably BS about being synthetic and therefore able to lessen friction in some way)
Anything else I should consider?
