2017 explorer platinum hood flutter/vibration
17 explorer platinum hood flutters at highway speeds. Started on the first drive home. Brought it back to the dealer, which they made better but it still does it. They just raised the hood stops so now it has a larger gap between the front fenders and lights. Also one side is higher than the other. The body seams look like its been in a accident.
So, its been to the dealer twice for this repair. The dealer says its normal for a aluminum hood flutter and vibrate. Also they stated that similar 2017 models in the lot do the same thing.
I disagree. The hood flutters enough to reflect the sun and catch your eyes. I believe this is a safety issue and distraction at high speeds.
Info from another forum suggested that I removed the cover from underneath the hood. You can see adhesive that bonds the inner and outer parts of the hood has become dis-bonded. Video attached.
I called and complained to ford which they agreed to send a factory engineer/rep to look at the hood. Its been close to a week and I haven't heard anything back. I called ford and they said its up to the dealer to schedule it. The dealer says its up to ford to schedule it. I have a feeling that they just want me to disappear. Also I wanted to be present when the engineer/rep was looking at my explorer. The dealer said that usually is not normal. Anyone have any gouge on how this works?

Not much help I'm afraid, but I got to add that I just hate that "similar models on the lot do the same thing" excuse. I had a issue with a power rear gate, got the same excuse. I asked if my car burst into flames when I opened the door, but "similar models on the lot do the same thing" would they then consider that "not a problem"? Didn't get an answer.

Update:
I took the car to another dealer, the one that sold me the car. The Body shop manager agreed with my assessment with the hood. He took a couple of pictures of the broken adhesive attachments and sent a copy to ford for warranty.
30 minutes later ford approved the hood replacement under warranty.
