hello again all.....ok. snow storm came and gone last week. i used my 4wd...get out of driveway go 50 yards,pull over put in park as always and switch back to 2wd.

it took a while! it "wouldnt" switch back. i turn dial on dash couple more times,nothing,on 4wd. ok go around block park...try again nothing. then after a couple trys....BOOM,goes back to 2wd. everything ok.

what goes bad on transfer case usually. .isnt there a mechnisum attached underneath to case that does switch 2wd to 4wd that goes bad. switch for dash i got extra but doubt thats it...

The first thing that seems to go that would be in the realm of your issue is the shift motor.
