I saw this guy on kijiji selling an 02 Explorer 4x4 with a broken transmission (doesnt work in reverse) for 500$. I have an 01 ranger for parts in my backyard. Will my transmission fit on this explorer? he has a 5r55w and I have a 5r55e.

 

No, it won't fit, and if you could get it in the computer wouldn't be able to make it shift. You have to get a 5R55W or it isn't going to work.
