Rebates for good shock prices at Rockauto
Just thought I would pass it along. I was in need of new shocks for the boy's ride and after reading the recommendations for the Monroe and KYB shocks I went shopping on Rockauto last week. Both Monroe and KYB are running rebates right now so I ordered up a set of 4 Monroe Gas Magnums that ran me $117 after shipping. By ordering 4 I qualified for the the $50 rebate card for a net total of $67. By contrast, the KYB's were running about $133 shipped (IIRC) and had a $40 rebate. Those of you needing some new shocks might want to check it out for those prices. I think the rebate purchase must be made by end of April, but don't hold me to that.

HA! that's awesome you mentioned that. I just ordered all 4 KYB shocks from Rockauto and they are in transit as we speak. I debated back and forth on the Monroe vs KYB but just ended up going with the KYB Excel's. Hope they are pretty good although anything is probably better than what I have currently!

Classic, you know I was in the same quandary about them. My searches revealed about a 50/50 on which to go with. I never had KYB's except on a Honda but ran a lot of the yellow brand on the farm trucks so I just went that route. Don't forget to apply for your rebate, I sent mine out about 5 minutes after the FedEx dropped off the package.
While I am at it, here is my 5 Star plug again for Rockauto. They unpacked each shock, packed the stem end of the box with heavy packing paper, put all four boxes in one larger box and then packed that end with heavy packing paper so the shocks didn't poke their way through in shipment. Had other places not take that care and have my shocks poking through the boxes gouging other packages and damaging the ends. I love shopping where I get good deals and good service.
