1951 F1 gas tank??

I am installing a 20 gallon mustang tank. my question is do I need to move the rear cross member back to just in front of the bumper bracket witch will give me about 5" so the tank will not be over the rear end thanks in advance

You're asking this question the wrong forum, you want the 1948/56 F1/F100 and larger truck forum. This is the 1957/60 F100 and larger truck forum.
