Oil Pressure Drops When Braking

Oil Pressure Drops When Braking
I have an 05 F250 Super Duty 6.0 V8 Turbo Diesel. This is my first diesel so don't know my way around it too much yet. I just don't know what could cause this problem. It sounds like a faulty sensor to me. But no engine light has come on. My oil pressure drops down to in the red zone when I brake while driving, then once I return to driving again it returns to the normal pressure. It's almost as if it has something to do with the tilt of the vehicle.

Either you're low on oil or the sensor is failing.
The "sensor" is a simple pressure switch. As long as you have 4-6 psi engine oil pressure, the gauge is supposed to stay in the middle of it's range. It's pretty much an analog idiot light, not an actual pressure gauge.
Here's what the service manual says about the "gauge":

Oil Pressure Gauge
The instrument cluster is hardwired to the oil pressure sender unit. The instrument cluster monitors the oil pressure data and commands the oil pressure gauge indication with a corresponding movement of the pointer. The oil pressure indicator sender unit consists of a diaphragm and contact points. The contact points are closed with an oil pressure causing the gauge to indicate normal oil pressure. With no oil pressure, the contacts open and the gauge indicates low oil pressure.

I've never poked around under a 6L, but, on the gas engines, it's always screwed into the the same big chunk of metal that the oil filter is attached to. Crawl around under there and look up for an electrical switch with a single brown/orange wire connected to it.
It works in conjunction with the cluster, it's not "with the cluster".
