There is a TSB for that. You can find details (including if it applies to your truck) here. https://www.nhtsa.gov/

There's an earlier thread on this same issue and it was suggested to use the Prestone De-Icer Washer Fluid, good for -27 or some Heet in the yellow bottle which has a high concentrate of Methl Hydrate. I used the Heet till I was able to get some of the Prestone. So far no issues.

We had a stretch of weather that got down into the 20's this past winter (yeah, I know...). I didn't have any issues (rear door froze; that's a separate TSB) but I was using the Prestone De-Icer fluid. Amazing stuff...melted thru any ice on the windshield very quickly.

My 16 3.5 freezes up a lot . Even after I put 35 below in it doesn't have to even be real cold for it not to work . If the truck sits for a little while after I drive to town they work fine then freeze up again on the way home . My 14 5.0 never froze and that's to 30+ below only time I had a problem with it was if there was ice and snow over the nozzle.

Hey Tom thanks for the tsb for this washer problem. on off working through the cold. Then pump stopped working.Took to dealer ,told them about tsb, replaced pump but nothing else. Now it's a next winter and washers doing same thing. took to dealer, I brought copy of tsb with me to show but advisor said lots of frozen jets right now and I said I'm using prestone jets aren't frozen. Took in shop for awhile and says tech deiced jets, working fine. I said it's working because it's warm. I leave and 5 miles down the road NO WASHERS!!!!! Turn around, back to dealer. advisor comes out to check, not working. He seems puzzled and says your truck is not part of the recall I say look at the date. Build before 5-16 and I say built 1-16. Took back in the shop and 20 min. later here comes the advisor and says the washers are okay again but He has a his own copy of the tsb and says we had to order the part. So it took going through all this to get them to listen about a tsb for an easy fix of the problem. By the way when will the part be in? I don't know. Just keeps getting better.
