Bodiak went out of business a few years back. I broke down and got a curt front hitch.

also i have one of those cargo carriers that goes into a hitch receiver, sometimes i put that on the front if i'm carrying something and maybe the bed is full etc.

i do want to make or buy (probably make) an extendable arm thing that i can put in the hitch if i'm carrying long pieces of pipe or wood, that way it can lean on my headache rack in the back, and the arm extends all the way up to the height of the roof, and provides a place for the pipe/wood to rest on securely, rather than trying to strap it down to the hood latch or tow hooks or whatever and it flap all around while driving.

all kinds of things you can use them for, pretty cool IMO.

the 2 in place of the tow hooks however, i posted in my first post on what i'd use them for.

ah you just gave me an idea. removable bull bar, better idea than me making a little push bar that i mentioned in my first post, for times that i may want to push something and don't want to damage my front bumper. didn't know they had removable bull bars! got any pics of one by any chance?

i also want to have a step for when working on the motor.

i kind of like the idea of the tow bar as well. although i don't think my dually would ever be the tow-ee, she is the tow-er, haha. plus, only other truck i personally own that would tow my CCLB dually would be my excursion lol.

gotcha.

next time you have that chain setup on your truck, could you take a pic and post it? that's actually a good idea, one of my trailers is very heavy, i would feel safer (not that i'm driving with it on the front hitch, but so it doesn't bend it or anything)
The tow hooks mount completely different than those in your picture. Why not just buy or use a old receiver, cut the ball mount off, butt weld a 1/2 plate with gussets to it, then bolt several strips of old tire tread to the plate for cushion for when you push stuff. Either weld the plating off set and drill a second hole in the receiver then just turn it around for different pushing situations or use a large plate for a one size fits all application...

This bolts up exactly like your referencing: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F192059508122
You could also modify it to your liking...

Bodiac is out of business. I had a set for my 2003 F250. The Tow hooks in the 2003 are a different angle than my current 2011 F250. I went to a horse trailer repair place and showed him the set (with the wrong angle) for my 2003 and had them make a set for the 2011 using a standard 2" receiver from the trailer supply place. He only charged me [email protected] for the welding. I forget the cost of the 2" re

ceivers, but they were nominal. As you can see from the picture below. they bolt right through the existing tow hooks and works great for my application.

And the double receiver makes that front rack super stable, nice idea. I put turnbuckles on my front rack since I have a single receiver.
