Firstly, here is the link to a short youtube video I made explaining the problem! I apologize for the camera work!


In case you aren't able to follow my scatter brained self, here is the problems in a bit more of a concise format.

Problem 1
-In park or Neutral
-Start truck
-Rev engine past 3k
-RPM's rapidly drop down to 0 and engine shuts down
-able to save with some steady gas
-doesnt really seem to be an issue while driving if giving heavy gas

Problem 2
-Cold Start - No issue
-Warm Start- turn ignition, rpms spike to about 1,500 then steadily drop, sometimes shutting off, other times it will save itself and return to a semi normal idle. In order to get the vehicle running under these conditions, i have to fake an idle, feathering the gas pedal, and shift into gear.

Side note
seems to have a little bit of an inconsistent idle. Not so much spiking back and forth, but will sit steady at 1000, jump to 1100, drop to 800. Kinda seems like it is searching for where it wants to be, but can't find it.

Things that can probably be ruled out
-Air filter
-fuel filter
-IAC valve-did not change gasket, just cleaned.
-Spark plugs and ignition coils
