If I were still in LA, I'd likely go and look at it! What do you guys think? More pics on the HP.

Lots to wonder about. Guaranteed to not have a 440, most likely a 330FT or maybe a 360FE. How behind is the registration, does it even start and and run?
Although I'd be tempted to get that for parts for my truck. Disposal costs would be high for the remainder.

I have seen this on Craigslist off and on, pretty cool. 360/C6 combo if there are back fees it isn't much not on something that old. Looks clean inside so yeah I agree good deal, total nightmare to fix up but still cool.

Johnny Mayday that truck has car lic. plate on it. unless the DMV says that,s it,s a car because it has camper on it. in CA.truck plates are totally diff. from cars. still looks really cool and it,s just money.

Pretty good shape and worth the money but it has to make you wonder when they say stuff like it has a Ford 440 engine.

Ford-Six what would it cost in disposal fees.? nothing the camper skin is alumin. the frame is wood. you can recycle everything that the camper is made of. as far as the engine goes Dodge had the 440. i have never heard of the 330FT. what did they come in.?

The old black plates were different? How were they different? Just curious.
Mine looks like this:

If your plan is to use it as a camper then $2K is an average price but if you're being it for sheet metal it's probably a bit pricey to mess around with and get the metal. I would try and get it for $1,250 and then it would be more worthwhile.

My $.02.

Doubt it has 330FT, likely just 360, as it is just a F350. The engine shot is not very clear.

I'd LOVE to have something like that. If it was only 3000 miles closer.

Knew a fellow growing up that had a mid 60's version of that(can't recall exactly, but it was pre Bump). He called it the "Titanic" (after that doctor show from the early 80's where that doctor lived in a camper in the parking lot). It was cool too, wish I could have bought it.

I have heard of the 330 in F350s but never seen one, not common at all. I think U-haul had some.

I didn't realize there was a difference between cars and trucks with the old black plates? The oldest vehicle I ever had in SoCal was a '72, and the original plates were long gone when I bought it.

Coastal 68, Johnny Mayday the plates are the same color but it,s the numbers that are diff. a car plate only has 3 letters and 3 numbers. the truck plate looks like Coastal 68,s. some time in the early 70,s CA. got rid of the black and yellow plates and replaced them with plates that had a blue background and yellow letters. my first car a 65 Chevy Malibu SS had the blue and yellow plates. i bought it in 1976. like an idiot i sold it. but with the money i got for it i bought my first bump. so i guess it worked out o.k.

Thanks!

Don't feel bad about the Malibu, we've all let a good one or two get away.
