Is there a way to do an at home injector test? I know I can send them off to someone to test with a machine, but I have heard first hand reports of my local shop doing a poor job with my friend's 6.4 injectors.
I am interested in only testing the solenoid. My truck has 137k miles, and I'm in the process of installing new head gaskets, studs, rocker arms, lifters, and oil cooler. The HPFP was installed new at 77k, and I am considering just reinstalling the injectors because I am running out of cash at this point.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
You could take them the truck to the dealer and they can do a power balance test with IDS or if you know a shop that has IDS.
You could get FORscan and do a test with that, but you need an OBD2 dongle and you should be able to do it with a laptop or tablet as I believe it can be used with Android
