Start of a turbo V10 build

So I spent 2 years putting a supercharger on my V10 in my 1st excursion. It's great but makes driving my second excursing kinda uneventful.

I just bought a third V10 excursion so it's time for a turbocharger. Engine will have forged pistons and rods.

So far my turbo choice is a Borg Warner S400SX-E.

Engine build has started but waiting for the new OEM block and crankshaft to arrive.

Yes, I hope.

Going to have to remove fan, fan shroud, and relocate radiator fill container. Than add a electric fan. During that operation I can install a 7.3 diesel intercooler.

Next will be putting exhaust manifolds on so outlet faces front of vehicle, pointing up. Have to re-bend the dip stick tube so it will relocated a few inches forward.

Than its just a matter of exhaust fabrication, intake fabrication, and $$$$.

Turbo will be about $1400
Wastegate $300
BOV $300
High cfm MAF $300
SCT tunner and new tune $600
WBO2 $300
New injectors $600
New fuel pump $250
New plugs $40

That all on top of forged motor build... $4000.
And assume new trans will be needed soon.... $4000

Glad I got excursion for $1000.

Are you the guy that has the supercharged V10 and you live at high altitude? Or did I mix you up with someone else?

Nice! I always wanted to do a twin-turbo build with two smaller turbos.

Wide band O2 sensor (typically with a gauge)
It's more accurate than the stock narrow band o2 sensor.

Hello question for you

Saw your post online, was starting to accumulate v10 internals for performance engine rebuild this year. Really curious if you could help me out with what you found parts wise, are you using 10 of some mustang 5.4 parts? Find a cam? Are the heads the PI heads and what are they made of? Been saving up to do this for awhile.

Thanks man, ive got a satin black 03 f-250 with same engine, Doug Thorley header's, Volant intake, bbk 65mm TB and built 4r100 trans with shift kit and 5 star tuner
