Whats the best way to check for a starving HPOP?
I seem to recall a Ford test that would diagnose a cracked oil pickup pipe.

Well double checked the fuel filter-clean as new. Pulled the HPO lines at the heads and installed my test fitting, neither head leaks at all and I don't have any hot start issues so I'm confident I don't have any HPO leaks.

Replaced the HPOP with an Adrenaline from diesel site and now can maintain 3000 ICP with 40%DC on "heavy tow tune" with a FIPW of 2.75ish. When i jump to level 3 which is a "tow/economy tune I have 2600 ICP 58%DC and 3.75 FIPW on "all out" I have 2200 ICP 73%DC and FIPW OF 5.6. Does the FIPW still look high or is it Ok?

Fipw looks sky high on the all out tune, to me at least. And a little high on your performance tune. If I recall correctly, from Tuglys knowledge dropping series, anything to far over 3 ms is just holding open an empty injector and wasting high pressure oil. Although with ICP dropping into the 2200 realm, maybe it's still pushing fuel; though I doubt it. If there's anyone who'd know for sure it would be tugly or cleatus12r.

I have seen trucks with good HPOPs fall on their face the instant FIPW goes beyond 3 ms. The HPOP was a huge improvement, so it was not a waste of money. Now you have the opportunity to send your log to Gearhead for dialing the tunes.

I sent them an email saying that my FIPW numbers are still high, we will see what they say.

I agree with the others that have posted. I have read many posts by Rich (Tugly) where he says that the FIPW should be at 3ms maximum and no higher than that. I think that is what he was calling the issue with his truck the "Stinky Spike", but I could be wrong.

I have been a big proponent of Gear Head because they nailed the tuning on my truck. But, as of late they seem to have gone the way of "we are too big to give a damn about you or your problems with our tunes". Let us know how they handle it and if you get your problems resolved.

This is the feeling I got from emailing with them before, I will give them another chance but not holding my breath for positive results.

I hear you, and it is a shame that they seem to have gone this route. I am thankful that I was lucky and they got my truck running great the first time around. Of course, my tune was nothing special as I don't have modified injectors or a big turbo.

When I did receive my tunes, they sent the standard 6 or so and I had to call them to get the custom ones I paid for. The custom tunes were mailed to me the next day, so I chalked it up to "crap happens". That was over 2 years ago though and things do not seem to have improved. Maybe their offer of lifetime updates put their head underwater and they are struggling now, I don't know.

I would say if you don't hear anything from them via email, call and see what the response is. If you don't get anywhere then, maybe look into 1023 or SDK tuning for your needs.

They got back to me and are going to send me updated tunes for the Adrenaline upgrade. I won't be around the rig until after December 5th but I will report back with how the new tunes do.

Gearhead sent me a different tune to try but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Looking at #78 it looks like your HPOP update did fix a small part of the problem.
Looking at ICP & IPR dutry cycle & FIPW I guess it is still in the tooning if theres no leaks.
Can you give us a update.
