New 1954 F100 Build

I finally got the windows working properly! I originally used the ***** rods platinum window kit and I couldn’t get the windows to go up and down without binding. I finally but the bullet and picked up nu-relics power window kit... it is awesome!
uses the existing mounting holes and works near perfectly without and adjustment. I’m going to do a little final tweaking but the windows work like a brand new car.. if you’re looking at doing power windows I strongly recommend nu-relics.

I'm making good progress on the interior, I used the ABS panels from mid-fifty and wrapped then in vinyl. I'm having some issues with the Velcro tabs that the panels come with, thinking I will have to hide screws behind the vinyl so better attach the panels. I've also started planning for the AC install, I put the ac vents and controller into the dash extension to prevent having to remove/modify it in the future. I've also put the window switches in it and painted it to match.
Over the next few days I'm going to be finalizing the interior panels and mounting the dash extension. I'm also having issues with keeping the chrome trim attached on the panels, I'm going to try the 3M yellow super weather-strip adhesive today, hopefully that will hold it on and help hide the seams.

It’s been quite a while since I actually updated this thread but I’ve made ALOT of progress on the truck.
here’s a short list of what I’ve completed in the past few months:
1) installed vintage air compact AC
2) installed a 4-link and airbags on the rear to replace the leaf springs
3) re-geared the rear from a 4.10 to 3.31 to make the truck easier to drive on the highway
4) changed the exhaust to flow master 40 series
5) installed FiTech 400hp Go-Efi system
I love the FiTech, it’s only got about 150 miles on it but it is improving with every drive. By lowering the rear gear ratio my rpms dropped from 3000 to about 1600 at 65 mph. The flowmasters really muffled the drone of the exhaust and it sounds MUCH better. Also, the vintage air is fantastic... I drive my truck every day now.
if you’re interested in pictures just let me know, I need to dig more up.

Updates!
It's been a long time since I've updated this thread and there have been a ton of updates.
I've completed the air system, RideTech Shockwaves on the front end and 6" air bags on the back, no more squeaking front struts and hopping the rear leaf springs when I burn the tires.. I also finished the 4 link on the rear end and c-notched the frame to get the right stance on the rear end. The interior is done, but I'm not 100% satisfied.. I'll probably re-work it this winter.
Vintage air is installed and works like a champ. I also dropped a FiTech 400HP system on it, which is finally working well.. after alot of headaches. And of course, the latest pictures!

Thank you for the compliments, it means alot! I made pretty quick work of the body and engine, relative to what most people do. The truck sat in my garage, untouched for the past year or so, I had an electrical short that was draining the battery and eventually burnt the ECU on the FiTech.. major headache that almost had be convinced to sell the truck.
In August I pulled the dash and doors apart and traced every wire, removed any excess wiring and put plastic sheathing over nearly everything, also found the short in the passenger door that was draining the battery. FiTech replaced my system, it was out of warranty but they upgraded me to the newer ECU with external fuses, free of charge!
I also decided to finally upgrade the suspension and bite the bullet with RideTech Shockwaves, which are awesome. Now I'm finding myself looking for the next thing to upgrade. The truck is running better than ever and everything works as it should.

I am glad you did not sell it. I think it looks awesome.
How do you like the Crown Vic IFS? Some folks do not like the offset wheels that almost all new car suspensions have. I personally like them because they are supposed to handle better with the wider suspension. Besides, I really like the look of the aluminum IFS.
I cannot wait to try out my Crown Vic IFS and the Mustang S-550 power steering I installed with it.

I have just finished your build thread and enjoyed watching all the progress. Could you share some more info and photos on what you did for the clutch petal assembly? I would love to get a shot looking up under your dash to see what you did.
Thanks,
JM
